Thermistor replacement

I need a replacement or data sheet for a Tektronix part number 307- 0153-00 thermistor.
I would really appreciate any help.

Hi, have you contacted Tektronix? You can here.
Is this on the mains input?.
Perhaps you'll get more help here if you give the model and maybe someone has one that can identify it.

Thanks Martinp
The scope is a 7514 storage scope and they are on the mains.
I have not had good luck with Tektronix help on older scopes but will give it a try.
Thanks again

Both of them are blown up. It is about 3/8 inch in diameter and shaped like a disc capacitor. The only information I have, I found in the service manual.
I filled out the Tektronix part info request, but not sure I have the serial number right. The one I used was the number stamped on the front top of the frame. Don't know why the font changed, something else going bad.
Thanks Martin

They are probably in series and inrush current limiting.
Lets hope Tektronix reply. If not, somebody here will be able to mathematically work out an acceptable replacement.

The service manual for the 7514 can be bought online. Therein you should find the required information.

These are located one on each leg of the output from the bridge rectifier

at the 110 volt input.
It was an operator error problem. There is a fuse not too far down the line that did not go, so I am hoping that the thermal resistors is the only problem.

I missed that important information (thought I read Instruction manual).
Surely the service manual gives the component values rather than Tek order codes?
Okay, to begin with, I have the service manual. It is a 5 ohm thermistor. I sent out for quotes to distributors that advertised them and got quotes of $150.00. Don't know what they were selling. I found this on Ebay,
Fielect NTC Thermistor Resistors 5D-9 3A 5 Ohm Inrush Current Limiter , and ordered them. 40 for about $11.00.
I think this is the right part, time will tell.
I don't yet know if I blew anything else or not, hoping!
Thanks for your interest and information.
I will post the results.

The request to Tektronix was never answered.
Found the Thermal resistors on Amazon ($10.00 for 40).
The scope problem was bad filter caps.
One vertical plug is still a little noisy but the main chassis is done.
Thanks to all that provided information and advise.
This is a great forum.
