Hi all, I am looking for a replacement tube for my out of focus 2236.
Anybody have one?

Are you sure the problem is the CRT and not the focus HV supply?

First check the 1/2W carbon film resistors located around the focus pot on
the main PCB,IIRC,they are either 1MegR or 510K(focus divider string).
They have a habit of increasing in value and finally opening.
Replace with 1/2W carbon COMPOSITION resistors of the same marked value.
This is a very common failure in the 2200 series.

You were on target Jim, one of the 510k resistors was out. The
local calibration people here in Kansas city said it was un-
repariable because the tube was not available. Boy were they wrong.
Thanks again, it's good to have the old scope back again.
