My TDS 640A is generating an error related to the Signal Path Compensation for channel 1, all other channels are good. Channel 1 seems to display traces OK at the 1 Volt range and greater. At the 500 mV range the trace disappears while the relay sounds as though it is switching the attenuator. Switching Ch 1 & 2 cables generated a new error "Fail Attn / Acq interface" in addition to the original "fail Cal initialization"
I am looking for opinions on the most probable cause of the failure and suggested source for replacement components.
