Hi all,
All electrolytics have tested good with ESR and capacitance value
testers. There is no chopper transistor. There is a 1m0565R and I'm
not having much luck finding any info on it. It has 4 leads, ground,
vcc, 1 lead to the opto-isolator and lastly one to the coil's primary.
I'm guessing that this is the oscillator and is PW modulated by the
optoisolator.
The secondary has a TL431 shunt regulator that has bench tested good.
I haven't hooked up a variac yet.
All diodes have tested good too.
Any ideas?
BTW - I have 3 of these monitors that have the same problem. I can
power the monitor fine if I bypass the power supply and use my 12V
bench supply. The PS only outputs 12V.
