switch 2 VGA outputs from laptops to one projector

hi,
I'm trying to build a device that can switch between two computers into a projector.
The output from one computer will be displayed from the projector. but when I switch, the other computer output should be connected to the projector. Is there any way to achieve this?
(Not talking about buying a KVM switch or anything. I want this to be home made DIY)
I DONT want a keyboard and mouse to control both computers. I just want to switch the output to the projector from either of the computers.

Yes, that IS a KVM switch. You just don't use the keyboard and mouse switches.

You can make one yourself with a multi-pole rotary switch. You can also use multiplexer ICs. But it's cheapest and simplest to buy one.

its not really cheap here to buy one. thats Y im asking to build 1 myself. We cant even find a multi-pole Rotary switch here!!

Can u tell me how to get a kind of a switch that will switch more than one line at once?
I mean for this I atleast have to switch 6 lines from 1 button. Is this possible?

Yes, it's called a rotary switch. These can be expanded by adding wafers, to switch dozens of signals.

That one is USD 37.00 which I think is pretty expensive for a rotary switch. No doubt it's good quality though. But you may be able to find one locally, and that link will show you what to look for.
