Suggestions welcome: male to female multi connectors.

Hi everyone...

I'm shipping a control panel to Africa and the client has requested that the panel be split in two for access reasons.

Now to save time on the installation I'm after male to female multi connectors for quick installation, instead of having to rewire all the opposing interconnections.

I thought that there would be plenty of items out there but at the moment my normal suppliers don't have what I require.

What I have in mind is a strip 20 terminal plus male to female connector that is capable of holding wires to the size of 1mm, that is isolated and capable of being fastened together.

Any suggestions would be truly welcome.

DB25 IDC connectors. Run ribbon cable to each connector and bolt the connectors together.

However IDC headers and sockets, although they can't easily be fastened together are equally unlikely to fall apart.
