Studiomaster powerhouse horizon 1208

Hi, first post here. I have a studiomaster horizon 1208 which has a faulty alphanumeric display. the display itself is faulty. I managed to get a similar futuba vfd and installed it but it's not working. I only know a little about vfd's but enough to test them. does anyone know what voltages I should be reading at the filament and grid/anode? I'm reading negative voltages, I thought they should be positive with respect to the filament but maybe I'm wrong about that. any help would be appreciated. I have the schematic for both the vfd and the amp. the vfd is futuba 16-sy- 09- gk

Any idea what the best set up for vocal echo /reverb is please having trouble setting mine up cheers
