source for old power cord

Jim

I'm looking for a power cord for an old super-8 projector.
This model had a removable cord, which is missing. There
are two posts in a rectangular recess. I need a plug with a
basic 2 blade household plug on one end, and a rectangular
plug on the other, about 7/8" wide, with female receptacle
for the two posts on the projector.

I realize I could just solder a cord to the projector, but I would
prefer to get a removable cord if possible.

I thought I saw a web site a while back that had illustrations of different
plugs that were available for sale. Anyone know of anything like this?
Thanks.

Another option if you don't mind modifying the projector is to install a
standard IEC receptacle for a standard computer type power cord. They're
easy to salvage from dead computer power supplies and other equipment.

I believe the connector you are talking about is used on portable "boom
boxes". If you really wanted to you could buy one for the cord.. Or visit
the local thrift store, they always have stuff like that.. If you dont find
anything I will look and see if i still have one laying around..

Thrift shop like Goodwill, or go to Radio SHack.
