Sony Wega TV picture/color problems

Colors (including B&W) are faded at the sides (upper half of the
screen). Color adjustments do not rectify the problem. What could
this be? Model: Sony Wega TV - KV-24FS100. Less than one year old.
The problem surfaced a few months ago. Thanks.

Magnet or speaker to close to the tv set. Fault in the degauss circuit. Tv
was dropped on and the aperature grill is damaged in the picture tube.
