Solar radiator fan

I'm connecting a 250 watt solar panel to a 12 volt, 80 watt radiator fan. What challenges will I face and how do I solve them?

Welcome. If the solar panel is also 12V nominal, it should work fine by connecting directly, if all being DC.

Assuredly then, it being a brushed DC motor, so put a 1N5406 damping diode across it with its cathode end to the + connection to it and then that ? questionable level ? of back EMF should be quenched by it, all the way down to nothingness..
