solar plane

Hello
we are making a solar RC plane as a school project. what do you guy thing which solar panel we should use ?it shouldn't be light and thiny and of course it should genetare efficent energy

solar panels are still not very efficient. you will need a lot of panel area
all of the top side of the wings and maybe some of the fuselage (body) as well

I assume you want the panels to charge batteries ? or is the plane only going to fly
on cloudless days ?
You need to calculate how much power is required by the RC electronics and
the motor etc

they have to charge batteries but our goal is make to flying time longest as possible. We are going to use this plane. Of course there other options to make flying longer time but solar panels are our best shot.
