SMR62000A NLA???

Hi.
Any one know where i can buy one of these IC,s ?. WES and Speedy spares have
said it is NLA.
It is the chopper ic in an akai tv CT29S55AT. I have also heard that Akai
has a board replacement for the power supply section does anyone one know
about this?.

Prime Electronics have the "E3701-026010 POWER SUPPLY UPGRADE KIT",
p/n AKE3701026010, which is claimed to replace the NLA SMR62000A.
Price is $68.81 to the trade, ex stock.

Have you fitted one of these and is it a big job?. More
importantly does it solve the problem of blowing the horizontal output
transistor?

I have no experience with this TV or these parts. I merely posted the
results of my research.
