SMPS controller IC with HV start-up module

These two SMPS PWM Controller IC’s have High Voltage starter modules for supply at start-up:-

TEA1530

However, I do not need this feature, since I have a DC supply of 12V that I can use.
No PWM controllers exist without the HV module with anything like the spec I require.


Do you think it will be OK to just leave th HV pin disconnected?

The HVS pin appears to be an unconnected spacer pin - left unterminated to allow adequate internal creepage distance between pins 6 and 8 (ground). I believe it's intended to be left disconnected.
