Hi-
I am thinking of adapting a strange gadget I have to use as a door bell.
It is essentially an indian-made electronic music generator which runs continuously in a long loop when switched on. -
So the problem is how to trigger it for a brief period - say preset to around 5 secs then turn it off automatically. All from a normal doorbell swith.
The unit is mains-fed but theres a transformer inside. I dont know yet what the working voltage is for the electronics but I'm assuming the switch and timer will be fed from this.
As you can tell I'm new to this but keen to learn - any assistance would be much appreciated.
By the way I'm pretty handy wth a soldering iron but a pre-made item available off the shelf which I could just hook up would be brilliant.
Thanks a lot !!
