Simple infrared transmitter

Hello, I have a cocept with FM transmitter. But it is not suitable for all electronics device whereas an infrared transmitter and receiver can it. So I want a simple infrared transmitter and receiver circuit. Anyone give me those circuit scematics.

it depends on the output you want. if sending simple on/off commands then you can buy one of the netfor dirt cheap. if you want one to transmit data (which I think is no good) then you will need something more specialised.

It depends on your skills and knowlege of electronics of course but you will need amplification to drive your speaker if it's not built in! As Steve suggested do a Google search if you fancy building your own circuit plenty of info available. As an alternative you could possibly adapt a sender unit or remote headphone receiver the type that allows you to listen without the wires.

there are devices that use bluetooth to stream the media on the market already. IR is very.... weird for this sort of thing. you need direct line of site, it has to have very little in its path.
