Several PIRs to single chimer

D

DeanB

Had a thief mofo steal stuff from 2 cars on my driveway (house is kind
of in the sticks).
So, looking for an outside system that can use several motion
detectors to signal a system in the house with a chime. We have a few
deer, so I don't want it to go crazy, just a simple chime, then I can
go out and shoot the f*%#&r. Would prefer two keypads (keeping one in
the bedroom), and a way to switch it off if I walk outside. I want
proper commercial quality stuff (and preferably one that is not set
off by cats - my neighbor has 25!).

Thanks for any helpful tips.

A. Put a car alarm in the vehicle and use it to trigger an alarm
transmitter that ties into your home alarm.

B. Put a car alarm or alarm devices on your car, and plug it into a
connector on your home that you can plug in or remove and replace with a
terminating plug on the house side.

(We have used option B with service trucks at business locations with very
good results)

Good idea. By then, once they're away from home, the pit bull will
make sure they don't come back to live in your basement until they're
40 years old.

But, for now you could get a dog, pull his teeth, leave him out by the
car. The vandals wouldn't know he couldn't bite.
and worse case would be that he'd occasionally gum the kids. Or ......
you could give him dentures for guard duty at night.

You think that sending the pit bull to college will change its ways?

Sending it to college... Someone will introduce it to smokin' weed. It
will become so laid back that nothing will prompt it to get up. It'll
adopt phrases/words like "chill, man", "whaz-up?" and "kewl".

There was a story going around when The Clintons were president.

Bill was coming down the stairway getting off of Air Force One,
returning from a trip to Viet Nam. He's carrying a miniture pig under
his arm. When he gets to the bottom of the stairs, he hands the pig to
the Marine standing at the bottom. He says "Please take this pig for
me, I got it for Hillary." Marine says "Good trade, sir"
