SENCORE PA202

I have seen some post about the Sencore PA202 walwart supply used with the TF46 Cricket. It is not used as a complete battery eliminator but as a trickle charger. I am looking for info on the exact voltage and current of this unit. Internet has turned up nothing.

Sir K4PI . . . . .

TF46 Cricket uses 6AA batteries . . .in your desired situation, is having them being niCAD or niMH rechargeables.
9 VDC is used in the unit, with an additional dividing down into +4.5 and -4.5 differential supplies.
Minimum idling power is 10 ma when powered up, until its auto time out feature turns the whole unit off.
Its worst case power drain situation is being in the POWER TRANSISTOR TEST function. where it could pull up to 150 ma in that test .
Seems like a 9 VDC wall wart at a 50Ma rating would minimally meet 1/10 battery charge rate requirements .
While a 100 ma unit would almost meet both simultaneous charge and run specs, with the battery only supplementing in that sole POWER TRANSISTOR TEST function.

Thassssssit . . . . .
