Samsung DLP TV help please

Model HLN617W. It has sound but no picture. Replaced lamp without
success. TV has a whine when turned on then it shuts off and turns on
by itself. I'm thinking ballast or color wheel. Any tips on how to
determine what's causing this will be appreciated.
