Salvaging Help?

I have a broken HP G6 Laptop and two Xbox 360s that are just sitting around. I was wondering if anyone knows if theres anything worth salvaging in the consoles or laptop? Anything worth using?

I am a beginner at this electronics/building from scratch thing so please pardon me..

Not sure about the laptop, but there's not a whole lot inside the 360. Perhaps a fan or two, heat sinks and parts from the disc drive. Mostly surface mount components. Best place to look would be in the power brick.
