Rolling Up a Flatscreen TV

Hi Everybody,

I am new here obviously. Recently, I moved to Brazil from the USA. All my belongings are still in the USA in storage. I have a 52" flatscreen TV I want to take to Brazil on my next flight back. The TV is worth almost nothing to resell.

I watched youtube videos about how to tear down the TV, but I don't know if once it is tore down if I can roll up the screen components for transport. I don't care about all the plastic bezel parts. I just want the screen and everything needed to use it. The aluminum frame I can break down and put back together in Brazil.

Thanks for any input.

Yes. I only use it to watch movies from my computer anyways though.

I just need to find a way to transport it as compact as possible.

you will probably find it cheaper to buy a TV at the new location ....
the cost of securely packing and shipping your existing screen would possibly cost a respectable part of a new TV

it would have to be packed VERY securely, in a sturdy preferably wooden box, the slightest twist, drop, bend and the screen will shatter

Yeah, unfortunately, I think you are correct.
