Replacing film with electrolytic capacitor?

Is it ok to replace a film capacitor with an electrolytic capacitor if they both have the exact same ratings?

what sort of film capacitor ?

film capacitor isnt really a standard term...

you get metal film types. show us a pic or describe it better

remember electrolytic capacitors are normally polarised

An electrolytic is designed for relatively low frequencies.

And electrolytic capacitors leak, this may or may not be important depending on the circuit.
