Hi,
Looking for ANY help or information on a dell 1626HT (sony tube) monitor.
Problem:
At specific resolutions, the vertical sync is gone, and the screen rolls
down rapidly.
At other resolutions, the picture is perfect.
Occurence:
Problem seems to be getting worse. First resolution to go was whatever
resolution the bios screen is. After that, higher resolution (1280x1024)
started having the same problem, and now (800 x 600). 1024 x 768 still works
fine.
I have basic soldering skills, and have limited knowledge of electronics. I
am looking to repair this myself, because I was laid off and am broke. It
would be a waste to me to toss out a monitor that has a perfect picture at
some resolutions if it is a simple repair. There's enough computer scrap out
there already!
Thank you for reading!
