Recycling an old phone/fax machine any ideas?

Hi all, I've come across an old fax machine which i've taken apart and i'm wondering what components I can re use or any ideas for projects I could build using the bits i've harvested. See below for picture, might provide some interest from some of the more unique components.

Some sort of LED strips? anyone know where I can work out how to work out how much current etc they will need?

Close up of one of the boards - I guess the red, blue and clear components are diodes

I think this was the heat strip that heated the paper thus producing the letters etc when the fax printed. It didn't have ink in it so can only assume that's how it functioned

Speakerphone and button which tells when the handset has been picked up

The power supply, looks like it provides +12, +5 and -12 v

Close up of wires coming from the power supply to the rest of the boards. Anyone able to help me understand which pins on the connector provide which voltages? I'm guessing the +24 is 24v, the G is ground, the G12 is +12v and the G5 is +5v and the G-12 is -12v but don't know what the C stands for.

Anyway, hope it's been of interest to take a look.

Hi Minder, there are two motors, but I haven't managed to get them out yet so didn't photo them. Could you tell me more about traction mechanisms?

Hi Robert. some interesting items you have there. You could make a nice DTMF house phone with caller ID. Or a nice house phone with caller ID and answer phone. Or a nice house phone with caller ID, answer phone and a black and white photo copier. You could even build a nice house phone with caller ID,answer phone, black and white copier and a fax machine!
If you have any screws left over, they'll come in handy one day too!!
There you go, recycled every single part.:p

@JeanGenie who posted this thread is looking for some green PCBs circa 1970s era. It looks like your boards qualify. Maybe the two of you could work out some sort of a deal for you to ship one or two of those boards to Australia, with or without parts attached.

I think he was quite adament about it being a 70s board.
This is most likely a late 90s / early 2000 machine.
