Reconnecting LCD Printed Ribbon Cable

Is it possible to reconnect a printed ribbon cable to a LCD display? The one I have goes to a floor scale and I know I could buy another one, but where's the fun in that? If anyone has advice on where to buy materials and / or how to re-attach the tape I would be very grateful. I've tried multiple times to upload a photo but I kept receiving errors.

Usually these flex cables are bonded to the LCD using an expensive machine...
You could try conductive glue - of course on the conductor only and in very small amounts to prevent a short circuit between adjacent conductors. I've never done that.
