Hello,
I have a rechargeable torch light which turns on when a switch is pressed. Also there is a plug that is used for charging. When I put the plug in the wall socket the battery charges. While doing so if i press the switch on the torch light doesn’t turn on.
But i unplug it then press the switch, the torch turn on. But the torch should turn on if the switch is pressed even if the plug was inside the wall socket.
I've opened it and found that there is a plug connected to four diodes places as a beidge rectifier then a rechargable battery is connected and then the torch across it. And a switch is connected in series with the torch.
I'm not understanding while the plug is inside the socket why the torch is not turning on if the switch is pressed?
Please help.
