re purposeing a old led flatscreen

hello this is my first post .i was wanting to ask a question about a l.e.d. tv that i have taken the broken screen out of and am useing for a light in my crawl space it works wonderfully nice and bright the only problem id that it times out and goes off..just like it would if there was no input from a dvd player or whatever is there a way to by pass this?? a connection on the board to solder together or wire to twist together or something?? thank you very much!

Hi ZIGGI TAPP,
What TV was it?
Most have an ECO setting in the menu.
You may have to run another screen/monitor to access that.
Or a simple audio input signal to keep it on.

Sir Ziggi Tapp . . . . .

Indeed QUITE a repurposing of an item .

BUT since that lamp excitation section of the unit, IS being the one which consumes the MOST power, no big deal.
I would think that a VISIT to the crawl space, would have ended before a timeout would have occurred .

First of all, what is the brand and model, to research on, and also its screen size, but that should be within its model number.
Fire up and watch the set to give us the timeout that you are now experiencing before the set shuts down.

" i have taken the broken screen out "
. . . . . further signifying for Sir Martins comment . . . . . that you can NOW only " see " video if the unit
has a video output connection in order to be able to watch on another tele to see WHAT info is trying to be displayed .
IF . . . and heavy on that IF . . . . that Menu screen info is even being modulated onto the sets video output info, which I sort of doubt.
