RCA P61927 / PTK195M1T beeping

At first the set would look fine for about 15 minutes and then the
bottom half of the screen would disappear and the top half would be
jumpy and not very clear. The top was bowed down and the colors were
no longer aligned. While measuring some voltages the set started
making a beeping noise and will do nothing else. Any ideas on this?
Also it looks like something has leeked inside, kind of a greasy white
substance.

Any help would be appreciated.

Electrolyte from electrolytic caps? They leak sometimes.

Check each of the crts for coolant leakage, if the materials have leaked
onto the circuit boards and has been there for a while it may be next to
impossible to repair the areas. The materials will, over time, tend to soak
into the circuit boards and cause all kinds of problems. Tending to be a
common occurance for sets getting as old as yours. FWIW, I have a complete
chassis, with crts.

No doubt coolant; try blow off circuit cleaner. If verticle deflection comes
back and scan circuits seem to work properly then order a gasket kit and
repair the leaky crt or crts.
