RCA CTC 168/169 Pincushioning Problem

Hello...

My Tv died the other night. I had a look at it and it appears to have a
bad HOT and a capacitor (Blue In color .5uf 250 volt) The Cap swelled up
a little. Replaced the 2 parts and also checked a large diode next to
the HOT to see if it was bad. Seems to test ok on the Meter....

Put new parts in tv and it fired up nicely.......
But I noticed that the bottom and the top of picture seems to be bowed
outward.
and the middle seems to be inward.

I believe it is a pincushioning problem....
I then checked all caps in deflection circuit but couldn't find anything
bad or weak.

Any Suggestions?????

I Have been out of the service business for 20 years plus and my skills
needs a little brushing up..... Any help would be nice...

Thanks In Advance

Thanks Art...... Those items that you mentioned are ok in the deflection
section.

I even doubled checked.

Thanks for the info though.....much appreciated...
If any one else would like to give it a shot to help me out, it would be
greatly appreciated........... My hair is getting thinner by the hour looking
at this problem.

Thanks
Michael

By the way Gary was spot on with the short of the Pin Transistor. For those who
