RCA Audio Video Receiver RT2600 help needed

Hello
The FR output channels B1560 output transistor is internally shorted. I
swapped it out. But if I connect the base lead the unit shuts off pretty
quick. I could use a schematic. Or some advice. I cant seem to find any Sams
facts for the 2600. Probably doing it wrong. Anyway....

It sounds like you also damaged the swapped transistors. When servicing
these you must find the cause of the failure before putting the power back
on. Generally the drivers also are damaged. You will most likely have to
change all the driver, and output transistors together. Then look for any
opened resistors, defective diodes and etc, and defective capacitors.

The service manual should be available from RCA if the unit is less than
about 7 years old. These manuals generally cost about $30 to $50 on the
average.
