Radio Shack score

Kris it was was like drugs. I went back and bought 2 more chargers which came with two 2000mA batteries and two 750mA batteries. That along with 4 3500 MA Li ion batteries came out to $9.10.

LOL :)

Well, that's the nature of life and death I suppose. They may not have been much use while they were alive, but in death, they release all their nutrients back into the earth, to benefit everyone else!

You got pretty lucky there. I saw your post and checked the Radio Shack in my neighborhood. It's not one of the ones closing-up shop, so no discounts on their current stock.
In the old days, I used to hit the local radio shacks (when they catered to hobbyists), and they all used to have discount bins where you could find good deals when they discontinued old stock,
but I haven't seen one of those in years. Congratultions on your find.

Thursday will be the last day. I am going to go and see what resistors and what have you is left. Will probably load up then. I have plenty but at $.09 for 5 it's a pretty good deal.

Heck, anything you don't use at those prices, you could easily re-sell at Ham Radio 'Hamfests' in your area.
Maybe not at the Radio Shack full price, but at better than whay you're paying.
I highly recommend Googleing 'Hamfest' in your city, and finding ones close by to buy or sell electronic components.
The clubs in the city near where I live have one Hamfest in the spring, and another one in the fall. Every vendor and every buyer out for electronic parts deals.

Take some huge bags.

For additional fun, try to get the store manager to get into one of them.

Unfortunately, it will have to be a smaller radio shack bag. I would like to fill the bag I carried home a couple days ago. Huge!

My plan for the morning is to be there about 10 minutes early and get two bags. They will be filled with resistors, caps, relays, LEDs, switches, then anything else that I can get my hands on. It will be like walmart at black friday...

Well it turns out that they did in fact let us have the very large bags. Both me and my wife filled one. I even managed to get six 6' solid copper ground rods into my bag. Both receipts came to a total savings of over $5800.00. For only $10.90.

I can wrap an Egyptian mummy with my register tape! LOL!

Wow! I stumbled into their clearance sale one day when I went to buy an arduino. got about $100 worth of stuff for $25. Nothing like yours though!

I've been watching their stock for a while now ($0.29/share)I should have known this day was coming!

I hate ordering stuff online but I guess that's the route I have to take now. No more picking an item up, holding it in your hand and contemplating the purchase for 30 min anymore....
