Hi.
Has anyone encountered such an issue before ? :
I'm simulating a microstrip TLN with a momentum simulateur (ie3d) and
i compute the s-parameters for a frequency range from 0 to 10 GHz with
a step of 0,01 GHz. I then use the following formula to obtain the Zc:
Zc= [ (1+S11)(1+S22)-S12*S21 ]^(1/2)/[ (1-S11)(1-S22)-S12*S21 ]^(1/2)
The curves i get have resonances while i was expecting an
approximately straight line, as Zc is supposed to be constant with
frequency. Is there a way to get rid of these resonances, which seem
to come from the ones of the Sij's in the formula ? Has anyone had
issue with this formula before ?
I googled the web for this issue but wasn't able to find anything.
