Pricing IC's

Hey all,

So in my ongoing quest for MOAR COMPONENTS!!! (sorry), I came upon an old CRT monitor with a free sign on it. By this point it has three PCB's and several components ripped out and it's sitting half-exposed in my studio :)

What I am curious about is how much various IC's in it are worth. I really don't see me using a VGA preamp anytime soon (and other such components) and am thinking of selling them. Here are a few IC's:

Sony CXA2153S (Hi-Res Display Preamp)
MYSON MT038N20-16 (No idea)
JRC 4558DD (old OpAmp)
LM2415T (CRT Driver)
P23AB VHCT14A (Inverter)

I can find datasheets galore, but no actual prices. Any help would be great!

If you find a 'rare' chip that commonly fails and is in demand it can bring in a few bucks as well as some real vintage stuff... Look at Ebay or Google to see if you have a 'gem'... The other 99% are not worth their weight in shipping cost, aka not worth anything in the end....

Generally they are worth what you can do with them.

As others have said, if you have boards full of components it may be best to just keep them on the boards until you find a need for them.

I have found that old VCRs have all sorts of microswitches and optical stuff that you can re-use. In some cases just seeing the part might spur you into making something with it.

Browse Ebay... Right now these popped for new old stock not reclaimed... If you check every so often you might get an idea on the price of the other chips...

JRC 4558DD (old OpAmp) ---- two for $2.50 delivered
LM2415T (CRT Driver) ---- $0.99 new

Hmm... I as just thinking, since my to Darlington Power Packs are worth some (around $5), maybe these would be more due to fanciness :) Alright, I'll just keep them around. Thanks guys!
