Power up problem in aiwa nsx 330

hi! My audio system nsx 330 does not power up. When mains connected clock blinks but as you press the power button on the system everything goes blank and dead. Now press any button, its dead but leave it over night, put the mains cord and clock blinks but as you press the power button its dead again. Please help.

Got at least a DVM, ability to disassemble to be able take closeup photos, identify parts .
Plus, that is being a complex . . .GOOD SOUNDING . . .unit that they crammed within a small internal area.
Its described problem will likelyy be a power supply issue or an overloading power audio amplifier.
