Power Sensor

I wanted to make a power sensor using a piezoelectric transducer. This will cause a voltage spike.

I wanted to be able to feed this analogue input into an IC and then output this onto a seven segment display so that it reads the pressure applied to the transducer.

I have researched how to integrate a piezoelctric transducer into a monostable but I feel this task may be significantly harder,

What piezo sensor are you using? Do you have specifications that indicate what voltage (and current) can be expected for various pressures (or amounts of deformation)?

Without that information it's almost impossible to spec out something to do this.

How will this sensor be used as a "power sensor"?

Have you tried it to see if it works?

Do you have detailed specifications that indicate it may work this way?

Is there any particular reason you chose to use this sensor?
