Popping noise with ocean wave projector?

I bought an ocean wave projector, an 'Aurora master', and upon plugging an aux in it began making popping sounds. When it pops the audio works and when it pops again the audio disappears. This continues even if the aux is not plugged in. Not sure what would cause this, wondering if anyone more technologically versed could help identify the problem?

I confess that I don't know what an ocean wave projector is.
Do you have a manufacturer and model number you can tell us?

Probably ingressed some ocean?
