Hi People
I have started on a new direction in life and, as I leave, I want to thank you all very much for having let me participate in the discussions on this forum.
I was very ill most of this year, to the point of being housebound quite a lot of the time, and having just arrived in Cairns (I needed the tropical heat to save my life) and knowing nobody here, I needed the forum for the social contact as much as anything else.
I've now become well enough to get out a bit, and since my vision is no longer up to the standard required for electronics work, and since the social welfare agency is dead against me working, I have gone back to my first love which is music. I will look at the forums from time to time but not very often probably.
Music turns out to be exactly the right thing for me to be doing. I have been taken up by an international musician as his apprentice (people have thought my woodwind and guitar skills at a professional level for decades) and suddenly all the parts of my life have fallen into a synergistic wholeness and I am rocking! Well actually I am jazzing.
I can't just go away and not say how much I have appreciated you guys. I very much respect the professionalism and above all the kindness, especially of of the moderators, who have inspired me to try and emulate them.
I don't want to particularise personalities in this post because you are all important but I do want you to know that as far as I am concerned you are great!
So Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
So Kia Ora Mai and keep it up, good health and long lives to you
Mark
