Pill box school project

Hi, I’m completely new to all things electronic, and am hoping to find out what’s sort of kit I need to be able compete my project. I’m making a pill box, where a light will turn on at a designated time, and can be turned off via a switch or a button. I’ve had a quick look on a couple of electronic websites but I haven’t got any idea of what I’m meant to be looking for. Any help or pointers are much appreciated. Thanks

If this is the case it may be simpler to buy, Oh what find it that. You are looking for a Mico and since you are new I would probably suggest an arduino as they have codes for clocks and LEDs available and easily modified. Find a display and start playing. It is not plug and play, however about as close as you can get.
