PIC Type

As you all know, PIC16F877A has 40 pins and quite large in size.

So, I would like to ask if any PIC that is smaller in size that can do the same thing as PIC16F877A ?

I think PIC16F84A can but I see the datasheet, it doesnt have analog input pin..I wan the smaller PIC to have Analog pin.

So, Please help

No other PIC can do exactly what a PIC16F877A can do with fewer pins.

If you can decide what features you want, the Microchip site has a search form that allows you to select all devices having certain specifications.

Hi, the PIC16F876A seems to be a downsized version of the 877A with 5 analog inputs. The package is a skinny DIP28.

He can also choose smaller package SOIC.

If you need only 1 analog input and 1 digital output, there are 6 pin PICs that can do this! Look at pic10f220 for instance.
