Philips 41JP20 flyback number?

J

James Sweet

Still awaiting an answer on this one, the set is a Philips 41JP20, flyback
is visibly arcing internally. Power board is 00APW010-D004, number has
fallen off flyback transformer. This is the TV in my mom's livingroom so
she's been bugging me every time I go over there.

Its a PTV330 chassis. Loc: T4 = 483514067162 / 362140-1,-2 / HR6493

Aren't the 362140 dash 1 and 2 different? I thought one used the pigtail lead,
and the other used the barrel type because of different HV splitters, no? Or
will the HR6493 sub both?

HR says it will sub for both. It could well be what you cay about the
connectors is true, but they usually leave a small degree of Fabrcation up
to the servicer if something like that happens to exsist. They wont make 2
Molds for a flyback with such a mild difference.

Hehe...I'm old enough to remember using Thordason and Triad subs for fllys
years ago, and learned to carefully follow the little sheets that came with
them, in order to wire for different apps.

But the two NAPs are different to be sure. I once subbed one for the other,
and it ran about 10 minutes with almost zero focus, before the front of the
flyback (that covers the divider portion) blew out. I never tried the sub in
reverse though.
