PC5010

I'm sure you've had your fair share of these, bought a foreclosed home, has a pc5010 wired up with 2 different keypads one looks to be the 5500 and the other 5501. It was fine and didn't use it until a recent power outage... Now it is armed and i cannot seem to get anything to reset, Whether using jumper wires from z1 to pgm1 and cannot enter installer programming. Was wondering if there was a way for me to reset the unit so even if i have to start fresh with using keypad programming i've got nothing but time on my hands as I am currently unemployed.

It could very well be that the panel is fried. Sometimes power failures cause issues.
If you cannot get the system disarmed you will not be able to enter programming regardless. On the other hand, there is a panel unlock unit available however with 1 unit you would be better off purchasing a replacement board as they are not that expensive.

Good Luck

There isn't a way to reset the system, I don't know what the code originally was due to buying the home off the bank as a foreclosure. I was hoping there was a way to reset the system, because it functions as its supposed to however I cannot disarm it, even if it means reprogramming the entire system.

Was that a question?
If so, the system can be defaulted by shorting pgm 1 to the zone 1 terminal, however, I do not believe this can be done with the system being armed. Aside from that, the panel may be locked out. If you do manage to default it, you will have to reprogram the system from scratch.
If you end up needing a new board, drop me a line as I believe I have a few slightly used but working boards I replaced when I upgraded some customers.
