and local RF pollution making it marginal to listen to .mp3 from PC on
FM tuner feeding to an analog pre-amp feeding to killer analog stereo
system . OK. Now what? Ideal case: use in house RJ45 wire network
and router. That is, send music down the network, thru the router and to
the black box and from black box to AUX jack on pre-amp. I can't seem
to find much. Any help appreciated.

Lots of new products around to do this.. Here is one that will stream audio
from a PC over a wireless network to a black box connected to your HiFi..

The above are just examples. I can't recommend them as I've not used them.
Google for something like "stream mp3 to your hifi"

Ideally you want the black box to control the stream so you don't have to go
to the PC to skip a track etc.
