My Panasonic widescreen tv model tx-w28d2dp switching into standby mode, if
you manged to get
it stay on the screen is black witj single white line in the centre no
sound.

what the cause? How to fix what part need to change.

This type of problem may not be one single part. There are many parts in a
set that can cause this type of fault. If the line is horizontally across,
this is a failure in the vertical deflection circuits. If the line is
vertical going, this is a horizontal deflection failure. There are many
types of components used in these circuits, and many of them can cause a
total scan failure in their respespective circuits.

You should call the authorized service rep for your set, to have it properly
serviced. This is not something you can service yourself, unless you are
properly set up, trained, have the service manuals, and have the test
equipment to troubleshoot and service television equipment.
