Panasonic systems can be difficult...../complex......./costly to repair.
Brother had one and after many hours of trolling through schematics and testing, decided purchase of a second hand unit was a better option.
($100) ....even our local TV stereo tech had the exact same opinion.
Having said that it may well be in the smps power section, possibly electrolytic capacitors.
Look for bulging.../leaking electrolytics.
