P. A. sounds system with generator

Hello.

I have soundsystem that consume 2000 watts (max/peak).
Few questions:
1) Soundsystem is from germany, so it have european 220V plugs. Can i plug it in english generator that is 120V using socket adapters? Is it save? Will it affect something (increase Ampers, lower generator wattage, or anything) ?

I will never use soundsystem on full (clipping/going in red), i assume that this means- less than 2000W? so out of that - I'm looking at invertor generator of 2000 watts peak. Is that realistic?

Thank you very much for reading.

It should say back of the amplifier which voltage it needs for operation. Some have switch so u can select 220/120v. 2000watts peak can mean almost anything. You need to find out the RMS output of the amplifier. It's even better if you have manual.

If you have the make and model of the amplifier, try download a PDF manual from the manufacturer or a website such as manualslib.com
This manual will explain all, including what voltage or voltage settings to use.

In manual... It have 4 lines: Different voltages for different countries (USA, Japan, UK, Europe) with a type of fuse next to each line....

Wattage i put is the "consuming power"...

It's 2 active speakers
Behringer B212D
And active sub woofer
Behringer VQ1800D

B212D consumption power is 300W
VQ1800D cons. power is 110W @ 1/8 of max power

You can only use it on 120V if the amplifier has the ability to change the input voltage to match. This is commonly by a slide switch marked 240/120 and by changing the fuse accordingly.

If the device was 'auto-ranging' for supply input it would specify the full input range i.e. 90-240V. If you have bought it for your local area and the supply is 240V then that is what it will need. If you run it at 120V ...

you will damage it.

But if you look in manual, they put there

Power supply voltages (fuses)
And then it goes
USA
UK
EUROPE
JAPAN

is this means nothing, or what?
