Optima 2Plus zone chime problem

Somehow - probably the kids hitting random keys on the panel, we now
have a chime on the panel whenever the PIR for zone 2 on our system is
activated.

A number 2 lights up on the panel each time and I can't turn it off!!!

Does anyone know how to disable the chime function, or is there an
error?

It sounds as though you might have the system in "walk test" mode. I'm
unfamiliar with that particular panel but most systems don't chime on motion
detection except in that mode. Have you tried arming and disarming the
system?

Mark,

If I remember, there is a button with the word chime above it, pressing this
will bring on all the LEDs, using the keypad numbers toggles the led to that
zone on and off, or you can press chime then 0
