OPAMP voltage follower

Hai friends,

I need some clarification for the purpose of voltage follower in input side.. that is.. in most ost of the circuit previous stage output is given to the voltage follower after that only its give to the next stage.. Is it for maintain high input impedance?? Then hw??

A voltage follower is a device that maintains the same voltage out as the voltage in regardless of load.
Sometimes it is used to maintain a high input impedance.
It is used to maintain a low output impedance, ideally zero ohms.
A voltage follower is a current amplifier

An example is an LM310.
