Only 11v on modded cpu 12v power supply. Help please!

Hi all, pretty new to this. Just wired a computer power supply sock can charge my rc batteries. However it will only produce 11v on the 12v wires. I have a 10w 10ohm resister on the 5v to produce a load, and apparently this will help raise the voltage on the 12v side of things. At 11 volts I get a low voltage error on my charger. How can I get it to 12 or a little more? Thanks!!!!

Try a larger load. Your load is only 500mA, or 2.5W -- not really a lot for a PC power supply.

Should the additional load go on the 5v or 3.3? Thanks!

It's hard to say. Try loading the 5V rail first. If that doesn't help, try loading the 3,3V rail.

Essentially... Do whatever works.

Almost always the + 5 volts rail, ive tried a fair few now and this rail give the best highest output and better load regulation, make sure any sense wires are tied together, good link below.

PS. Try 10 watts 4R7 on the + 5 volts rail, gives 5.31 watts, 1.06 amps.
