onkyo tx-sr601 sudden audio death...

hello,

onkyo tx-sr601 produced loud thump while viewing dvd Lion King and sent
dvd to the dvd's screen saver...powered down all...disconnected
electricity to all...powered back on...dvd player plays...all
components play...except

no audio

completely gone and none of the unit's adjustments seems to solve

am i missing a diagnostic step or has this receiver fried itself
somehow?

Sounds like the receiver needs repair - may still be under warranty, this is
a pretty recent model.
