One switch to turn on multiple sockets

So i am new to electrical wiring and i would like to know how you could wire about 2 sockets onto one switch so you could easily for say turn on your computer and all your other appliances on with one click.

I use the industrial strength power bar principle.
They are intended for garage or work area, they are square in shape instead of the strip of a normal P.B.
Also there is a socket strip to go in front of work desks etc.

I should of been more clear, what i mean is a wall switch to turn on multiple wall sockets instead of turning on the sockets individually.
