Old power converter/charger 120 to 12v TRIAD-UTRAD 730-2

it is a power converter / charger made by a company named triad-utrad model 730-2, it was in a travel trailer. it is quite old im sure, somehow the main input wires 120v AC from the wall plug have come off. when opening the unit cannot see where the 2 wires were attached to. It has a ferroresonance transformer with a RONKEN 6.9 mf capacitor with a rather large heat sink where I believe the rectifers are the transformer on the primary side has 8 wires that come out four of which are connected together that go to the positive DC output lead then 2 more are connected together that go to one diode on the heat sink and the other 2 connected together that go to the other diode on the heat sink. 8 total wires on the primary side. then on the secondary side 2 small wires come out and go to something on the heat sink looks like some type of diode also. then from the capacitor are 2 wires that go inside the middle of transformer.I am clueless about electronics but have done some research on the net. but for the life of me cannot tell where to connect the mains to.there is no broken connecters that i can see. if anyone has a wiring schematic or diagram on this unit can you please send it to me I cannot find one on the web it is driving me crazy.just want to know where the 120 main wires connect to. there are no unconnected wires on the transformer at all please help BREDIAJ

Sir brediaj . . . . .

That sounds about like 1974-76 vintage and the AC power cord comes in the front corner as a 3 wire connnector with center being frame ground. On model TU-730 the second numbers are the ampere ratings.
here is the TU-740 BIG brother at its 40 amps vice your 30 amps.
If your front right bottom GREY power cord is not being there, we would need good close up photos with the cover removed.

I hope this helps. I found this forum searching this same converter in an attempt to not only find out what the heck it is but also if I could repurpose it for some other use. Found it a couple days ago in an abandoned junk motorhome. Your ground wire goes to a rivet right on the body of the unit. Hot goes to the heat sink thing and then down to one side of the bottom coil and neutral goes straight to the other wire coming out of the same coil
